It is truly amazing that when we look back on some really BAD HAPPENING in our life, we view it differently then we did when we were IN IT. Does that ring true with you, my friend??
I have experienced loss, illness, missing out because of a time schedule or like a friend of mine who had this experience.
He missed his plane and was so infuriated he even told the Lord so. He had had it - and so on....@#&(~)("?:#@. BUT WHEN THE PLANE EXPLODED BEFORE HIS EYES...do you think he changed his tune? Well, you better believe it!
Often times when in a distressing situatin I try to project myself OUT of it to the future. Now, most (if not all) of the time I can't see the "BLESSINGS" of the negative event. BUT I will proclaim with Joseph, Gen 50:20
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done..."Yes, the design was for defeat, (other words: bad, adversity, trial, even death) but God turned it around.
That is what I am believing for you and yours and your situation right now. Things do work together for good to them that love the Lord. It is a promise, my friend.
Let me give another illustration. This happened many years ago. The daughter of this individual contacted scarlet fever. In getting proper medication, he watched the pharmacist actually mixing various compounds to make up the prescription. He said, "Any one of them might be classified as poison for my child, but he stirred them together and mixed them up and made just the medicine which my child needed."
And so, my friend with you. There is given to you a little adversity here and a little prosperity there and all DO WORK for the good.
I echo that scripture, Lord, for this dear friend. All things WILL work out for good. Give this one the faith to believe that and the courage to live it, in the name of Jesus.
Amen
