Of the countless great sentences in the Word of God, that found in Philippians 4:11 is so good. It reads,
"I have learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content."The story goes that a king went into his garden one day and found that everything was withered and dying. So he asked the oak what the trouble was. He found that it was determined to die because it was not tall like the pine.
The pine was out of heart because it could not bear grapes like the vine. The vine was going to throw its life away because it could not have fruit like the peach tree. This went on and on.
Amid all the discouragement, the king found a small flower. It seemed to be happy, quite unlike all the others in the garden. The king asked, "How can you be so happy?" The violet replied, "I'm not much account, but I decided if you wanted an oak, pine, or what have you, you would have planted one. But you wanted ME - so I am going to be the prettiest violet I can be."
So, my friend, since you belong to the King (as a Christian) you can have the contentment. You ARE important. I can't say that enough!! You need to know, if you do not already know, that you are a very important person.
A lot of people will voice that, but down deep in their heart of hearts they do not really believe it. I wish I could hear you say right now, "Yes, I AM a very important person."
Father, God, I ask that a special touch be given this SPECIAL reader. The touch that makes them KNOW how special they are to you. You need them. You have created them. May they thus hold high their head because they are, indeed, a King's Kid.
In Jesus' name.
Amen
