Matt. 18:11-35 This is a story of a man forgiving another man with a debt of millions of dollars. That man who was forgiven of that enormous debt wouldn't forgive a man who owed him a few dollars.
Ps 103:12 says Christ has forgiven us of our sins "as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us."
Matt. 18:18 says forgive from the heart or forgive unconditionally.
We are to forgive to the point of where we feel cleansed of any or all resentment and bitterness and can pray for them. All lack of forgiveness has to be eliminated especially toward a family member. It blocks the flow of God's blessings to us.
We can't change what others have done to us but we can write off their debts and be willing to make amends.
2 Cor. 2:5-8 Story of a man who caused a lot of trouble. The Word ways "he has been punished enough" Now show him you still love him. We are called to respond in acceptance and love.
Galatians 5:1 it was for freedom that Christ set us free.
5:6 only thing that counts is faith expressing itself in love.
5:13 serve one another in love.
5:14 love your neighbor as yourself
I want to walk in freedom - the freedom Christ died to give me! I choose to walk by faith. I choose to love unconditionally as Christ loved me and still loves me. I'm not perfect nor will I ever be, but I keep pressing on. I won't let any fears or anything that anyone has ever done to me or will ever do, keep me from walking by faith in love. Furthermore, I will not allow any hindrances prevent Christ from being seen in my life.
Christ's walk was the walk of unconditional love. It's that simple. My freedom is walking in the "simple child like faith" to what He calls me to do in His Word.
I don't like it some times but I choose daily to walk as He calls me. As I walk in obedience to Him, I am free to receive His promises for He is faithful to fulfill them.
