Words for Courageous Living

The Benefit of Waiting

I get so tried of waiting.

What about you? When I get tried of waiting, I also get tired in body and even my courage seems to drop. So, when I opened the Word of God to Psalm 27, I got encouraged.

It reads: "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; yea, wait for the Lord." Psalm 27:14

I suppose to wait in the face of danger, or to wait in the face of a financial problem, or to wait in the face of a spouse relationship problem (or you name it) takes a lot. For, we often want everything settled right now.

But, if we be people of faith, in the midst of an onslaught of difficulties, we can afford to "wait". It does take a lot of courage to wait patiently than to go out in war. Maybe you need courage to wait right now. You know, a lot is accomplished by waiting. It is not wasted time. There is something happening inside you and inside another. Could I encouage you after you read this to wait silently before the Lord. No charge and the benefits are without number. How about it?

Prayer

-Lord, I ask that this one wait on you in every aspect of their life. May they not go on in their own strength, but receive from you light for darkness, your strength for weakness. You will deliver...in your time.

Amen
