Words for Courageous Living

If You Can't Go Out, Go In

The Bible tells me that the Devil is an accuser of the brethren and further He is out to get us. Obviously He is not in our best interest. He is a thief and a destroyer. He makes accusations against us. He comes and accuses us of every failure.

But at this point Jesus steps in and says, "You have no claim over this child of mine. Keep your hands off."

However, during the conflict it is the strategy of Satan to "starve" us and force us out of ourself. This was illustrated very powerfully by the Scotch baron who shut up in his castle withstood a very long siege that should have made him cry "uncle" and give up.

At last the enemy was surprised to see a great string of fresh fish hung over the castle wall. That was a token that the castle would not be taken by siege while there were fish in the ocean. There was a subterranean connection with the sea from the castle.

So, my friend, exhaustless are your soul's supply and no siege of Satan need cause you to surrender.

The reason is: (Psalm 36:9)

"With you is the fountain of life."

When up against it - when you feel that life is hopeless - when you feel like giving up - remember, "With joy shall you draw water from the wells of salvation." Satan might have you surrounded now with many situations, and while you may not be able to go - "out" you can go "in" to the Lord Almighty.

My prayer for you!

I smite you Satan in the name of Jesus. I command you, in the name of Jesus to loose your hold on this reader. I thank you, Lord God, that you are the salvation for this one. May they will to draw living water from the wells of salvation.

Amen
