Words for Courageous Living

Who Me?

Some times it is hard for me to grasp the fact that God is aware of me. Now, I know it is true - but let's face it - with so many people on our planet - HOW? The answer is, of course, GOD.

Recently, while I was speaking to a group, I showed them a color slide on the screen of our galaxy. It showed stars and stars. I quoted Albert Einstein who said there must be at least - now, get this, 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 stars. (That figure is ten octillion, the figure 10 followed by 27 zeros.

Before I write anything else, listen to God's Word

"He appoints the number of stars and he calls them each by their name." (Psalm 147:4)

Is that great or is that great? Of course, the down to earth line is: If God knows the names of that many stars, couldn't he know the names of a few billion people? YES and yes. To make it more personal, He knows YOUR name. Now, when I think that Almighty God known my name, Neal...well that is awesome.

So He, obviously, knows your thoughts, your needs your situation, etc. That makes Him a real Father.

My prayer for you

Our Father, I ask that you give a wonderful blessing to this reader. May they have echoing in their ear the words of David, "When I consider the heavens, the stars that you have made, what is man that you are mindful of him?" Thank you, Lord, that you are mindful of this one.

Amen
